An idea sparked by a social media post "blew up" into what may become an annual tradition at Captain Strong Primary. Fitness teacher Kendall Edwards passed around the idea of a staff race in inflatable costumes. By the time they were lined up in the field behind the school with a crowd of excited onlookers, nearly 20 inflatable characters were present. The costumes included everything from a unicorn to a giant smiling heart (and two dinosaurs). The school mascot, Tracker, got things started and, amazingly, no one fell down. No one was quite sure who won, but the students greatly enjoyed the spectacle and the parade at the end. Way to go, Captain Strong!
