Transportation

Battle Ground Public Schools contracts with First Student, which has an outstanding safety record, to provide bus service for students.

Every day, 128 buses fan out across the 273-square-mile district to deliver approximately 5,700 of our students to and from school. The buses travel 11,720 miles daily, not counting field trips, athletic events, etc.

Request bus transportation through Skyward Family Access.

School bus trespassing is prohibited

A person is trespassing if they knowingly and maliciously enter or remain on a school bus without permission, create a substantial risk of harm to passengers or the driver or significantly disrupt bus services and they are not a student in a BGPS school, law enforcement, authorized personnel on duty, an individual with written consent to be onboard or a person who is acting during an emergency. School bus trespass is a gross misdemeanor.

2024-25 snow routes

If snow routes are in effect in the morning, those same buses will be on snow routes in the afternoon, too, regardless of the weather by that time. For snow routes, if your bus stop is different from your regular stop, then a guardian must meet their child at the snow route stop at the end of the day or the student will be transported back to school.

Please call First Student at 360-841-7099 for more information.
